Day 2

1. Drove to and from work with ZERO traffic. When your first work day of January is the epitome of "hitting the ground running (like mad)", a nice drive to work and a
nice drive home it a rare comfort. No cars on the road, not getting
cut off on both drives, and no rush whatsoever. It was almost like
driving on a weekend!

2. No bosses today. I was like the first day of school: no one
studies and everyone is pretty happy. No bosses = no pressure = the
calm you need to think straight. Not bad at all for what is supposed
to be the first day of the longest month of the year. God is telling
me that even in "hell month", He can give you comfort.

3. New officemate, old friend. After 5 years we're working down the hall from one another again. One of my good friends from two employers ago is my officemate again. Nice to have another familiar face in an unfamiliar place.

4. Got a really good email filled with kind words from a new friend.
As if the text yesterday wasn't enough, I got an email from someone
saying that what I did over the break was like an answered prayer for
her. And I did absolutely nothing for this person. She was happy I
did something for somone else and that was enough to inspire her. She
even called me an angel. We are blessings to other people not because
we of what we do for them but because of God uses us to bless them
(oftentimes, without us knowing). And then we, in turn, are blessed.
Never under estimate the power of a small good deed, God doesn't.
