Day 3

1. Officemate asks to come along to my service. I volunteer to help troubled kids and today at the lunch table an officemate asks me if he can come along and when I go next time. I thank God that he's curious. Maybe this is God's way of adding a volunteer and making his life, and the lives he will touch more meaningful. I'm just happy now that there's a window of hope.

2. Massage after a long day. I got a massage not very far from where I work-- actually the term "stone's throw" is almost an exaggeration. To top things off I got it for about US $1.50! Wow!

3. Heard from a good friend that he's now together with a real special girl. Now how is this a blessing to me? It proves to me that good things come to good people. In this case, a good guy gets together with a good girl. This day is about hope, baby!

4. Found out where I can get cheap gasoline. Erstwhile hidden to me, these gas stations can help me save a buck or two for every liter of gas. Since I drive a long way do vounteer work, gas is precious to me. Now i can stretch my budget a bit more!

5. Heard from my mom today. She's out of town and its nice to know that she's safe, healthy, and having fun. That's perfect shape for coming back home :)

6. Had dinner with close friends. The holiday break led me to the life of a hermit but seeing my friends today was a very refreshing experience. We talked, laughed, and shared stories over good and affordable food. Not a bad way to end a day! Today reminded me how God has sent great people into my life to keep me company through this journey with Him.
