1. Had a "God Conversation" with someone I never thought I'd have it with. with On New Year's eve with my family I had a great conversation about God with the last person in the house I thought it was possible with. My aunt is critical, quick to jugde, and quick to comment on anything but we spoke for 30 minutes both sharing how God works in our lives. I also learned so much about my late grandfather. The Lord once again showed me that with Him all things are possible.
2. Got a great heart-warming text from someone I found really difficult to deal with. I've been trying my best to be patient with this guy since I can remember. He is the one person I have to try doubly hard with to exercise restrain with my words and patience. He puts me to the "loving your neighbor" test all the time. On New Year's Day he thanked me for being a friend, family, teacher, and a good influence. All the while I thought he was a thorn in my side. I was wrong, he was used by God to show me that loving pays off.
3. Picked up a book that will guide me in 80% of what I want to accomplish this year. This year I've decided to imporove myself in and outside work to become better for others. I'm not even halfway through this book and I'm already so fired up to start. It has all the practical guides spelled out for me!
4. I found I had a licensed copy of Quicken! I've always wanted this program for me to take care of my money better and this Christmas Holiday break I really got into my finances and promised to take better care of my money. I was looking through the old installer CD that came with my computer and voila! I had it all along! Now managing my money has just gotten way easier!
