Day 31

1. Spoke up! Much like yesterday, although this time at work, I was asked to join the management team in discussing the health of our department. Ususally people don't really speak out at these things for fear of offending their boss (who is also there). Maybe I've matured now or I don't really mind speaking my mind (on the right things) because I view work as just work now becuase I did voice out my opinion on important things like people and happiness at work. I think my confidence comes from this shift over the last 2 or 3 years in my view of what's important in my life and that I no longer see my work as "sacred" and walk on eggshells around it. Nice to know I know what counts nowadays.

2. Got free dinner! My trainee decided on an act of generosity and treated us to his birthday and program graduation celebration. The food was good and the company even better.

3. Had a good one on one talk with my leader. We've been going full steam in the community for the last couple of months that having a cup of coffee just to catch up. He's one of the guys who inspire me to keep this up and its nice also that we can talk about stuff outside our interests. He's a humble and real and I really appreciate that about him and that's really why I have no hesitation following his lead. I get good people to lead plus I get good a leader. Sweet.
